PVD Coatings

Full line of PVD coatings

TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride):
Application: Used in general purpose machining application. Excels in application in which interrupted cutting is encountered. This coating exhibits higher edge stability than TiCN-Grey.

AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride):
Application: Designed specifically for use on carbide end mills. Used in applications for machining steel and cast iron as it exhibits excellent oxidation resistance. This allows higher speeds in semi-dry or dry machining operations.

ZRN (Zirconium Nitride):
Application: Resists edge build up when machining aluminum and titanium alloys. Recommended when machining medical grade materials and in other high heat resistant application. Also for use in machining steels, alloy steels, super alloys, aluminum>12% si, aluminum<12% si, copper, bronze and brass.

nACRo (Aluminum Chromium Silicon):
Application: Latest generation of tool coatings. A nanocomposite structure that has increased hardness for scratch and higher heat resistance. Designed for “tough”, difficult materials to cut. Recommended for steels, hardened steels, alloy steels, and super alloys.
